NOAA Releases It's 2014 Hurricane Forecast

It will be a near or below average hurricane season this year.

If the NOAA forecast is right.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration storm prediction is for 8-13 named tropical storms.

Among those, 3-6 will be hurricanes, including 1-2 major hurricanes with Category 3 winds or higher.

James Franklin at the National Hurricane Center has some advice when it comes to predictions.

He says forecasts don't predict where a storm will go or how strong it will be so always prepare for the worst.
